I'm in charge of it this year, but am wanting to avoid it. I don't want to put up with all of the bs, and I've got serious anxiety over how to deal with one of the sisters in the ward. It gets awkward at times.

We did "Christmas Breakfast" for several years, and it was lots of fun ..

Everyone come in your Pajamas ... cook a ton of sausage and eggs and pancakes ... Choir and Primary sang songs....

One year we had games for the kids ... throw a penny or a coin into a Christmas Stocking and get a prize ... then took all the coins, and donated the money to battered women's shelter.

----

No dinners for our ward recently since we can't fit everyone around tables in the Gym any more (BIG WARD!). We had a nice program last year with a couple of re-enactments, and then cookies and hot chocolate. Low key. MOST people sat on the floor in period costume.
