I agree. He made up all of his stories because they're just too perverted. When people come here and read that they'll definitely get the wrong impression.

Don, thanks for making the site. It's been a blessing. Not much to complain about. I agree with most of the suggestions so far.

Thanks for touching base Don. What is going on with you now? Are you still active in the church? Are you planning on being a moderator again to this group? The past moderators (Mrs. J, zookie and Christy) don’t come on here very often at all anymore and zookie and Christy aren’t “believers” anymore. Mrs. J appears to be back this week after being absent for a year and a half and we are all grateful. Zookie has been incredibly helpful and I really appreciate the effort she has put in even though her life and views are different now. (I recognize all of us have evolving views and appreciate what everyone brings to the table in this forum). Christy has also made effort to help where she could but I think she has less power only being a moderator over the non-traditional part of the forum. I still greatly appreciate their input when they are involved with this forum, but would appreciate some other moderators being appointed. The one benefit to having women as moderators has been their impressive ability to navigate between the sexes better. I feel like these women understand men’s perspectives on sex better than most men understand women’s thoughts and emotions tied up with sex. If you do appoint new moderators, I would vote to have at least 1 or 2 of them be women for that purpose. Are you able to appoint a new “global moderator” if you are not wanting to be involved anymore? I sent you a PM as well

Looking into past posts, many people were pushing a brand of sexuality that seemed extreme for most who are faithful. They likely pushed people away and then some left the site themselves after leaving the Church. However, by in large, most posters seemed genuinely interested in improving their spousal intimacy. Times have changed since 2007. Many younger members no longer remember the harsher edicts of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s from GA’s and local leaders. The message is out there for those who listen: what happens in the bedroom between consenting spouses is fine. Sex is good and God-given. I think that idea diminishes the bling, the newness, that was present early on.

Having said that, strain between spouses over sex is real and not going away. Polls are interesting. Discussions about teaching kids the art of intimacy and about our own sexual development are helpful. Confessions online are anonymous and yet still cathartic. Sexy stories are click bait but bring traffic. Exploring sexual boundaries in posts provide some heat, like bondage, outdoor sex, outdoor nudity (even just wearing a revealing swimsuit), anal stimulation, regrets about youthful vigor squandered in fear, or things done right. Body image is now a huge problem and the Church is contributory. Kids and young adults are having major issues with sexuality, including indulgence in oral sex, mutual masturbation, soaking, genital to genital, and PIV sex. Many think that casual sexual activity isn’t nearly as bad as drinking coffee. There are plenty of topics worth exploring.

Here's an idea.

Open the forum so that it can be read publicly without having to sign up and log in to read. Many forums are open and generate new members because people read and then want to participate. I first found this forum after having a conversation with a friend who mentioned the site. When I first came here to check it out, I was put off by having to sign up and log in just to read here. I mentioned this to my friend who convinced me give it a chance so I did. Once I did sign up and started browsing the site I realized it was pretty dead so I didn't come back to it until today.

Forums like these often become stale and die because of the lack of new member participation. Forums are losing out to Facebook forums and conversations on that platform, to Reddit and subreddits, and other platforms.

I think this forum is great for meaningful conversations based on digging through old posts and threads.

Opening the forum to be readable to the general public will expand the user base.

Adding mods will help to maintain the tone of the board if needed.

What do you think?

Ldssdf is open to be read publicly because the purpose is to introduce folks to wholesome naturism. On this forum, having some threads open to be read publicly would increase the participation. It is off-putting to have to register to see anything at all. That said, many of the discussions here are probably more appropriate for a limited community.

I think this forum just needs more people. That would probably make it better. I think there are lots of lurkers who don't post like me. After weeks with no new topics we leave. When it gets lively we join. I don't know how to get more people.

True. It would be awkward to invite our friends. I mean, I own my sexuality anonymously online but I'm not about to brag to my friends about my Magic Wand or wild fantasy life. LOL

I think a lot of what killed the amount of active users in the forum was the fact that there were no active Mods. So things like Spam and Sccurfer were especially grating. Even if they weren't the whole feed. If they were they would have died. I like this forum more than the one on reddit. It feels more private and dedicated. I too agree that having a believing mod is important. I love the church and I also love sexuality. I want to be able to express that from a somewhat anonymous standpoint with other believing members who share my values and also believe in sexuality. Since I can't do that with anyone at church. My friend took 3 years to tell me his wife flicked his balls during their wedding night to try to be sexy. These hilarious experiences I want to share. But I don't come here to read erotica or view porn or know about swingers. I come here to have a safe space to ask advice and share cool articles and hear funny stories or what worked for other couples.

Honestly a good mod is just what would fix everything. I'd probably be more active. Because I took an 8 month hiatus. I dunno who'd be a good moderator but Zookie alone is too much for one person. I can't because I have other obligations right now. But maybe further down the road and when I'm actually married. So wait a few months and I'll get back to you.

Also THANK YOU! For creating this forum! Bless you.
